I do mention that we can customize the GUI object/atom boxes but I do not demonstrate this in the video as I will do this in a future video as its more advanced and not really beginner stuff. So when I mean customizing, basically its making your patch files more aesthetically pleasing to look at on the canvas. You can design your own software inside Pure Data. Some people do come up with really neat visual designs! It can get really pretty and original.
